2nd victim ID'd; Asst. principal accused of offering recent grad alcohol, money for lingerie
Jun 05, 2026
A former Wylie East High School assistant principal is facing serious criminal charges, including soliciting prostitution of a minor and an improper relationship between an educator and a student.
Wylie Police said they arrested 32-year-old Zachary Neu on Thursday, June 4, and charged him with co
mpelling prostitution of a person under the age of 18. Investigators said Neu promised a recent 2026 graduate alcohol and money for lingerie while seeking sexual activity in return.
On Friday morning, police said they had executed a search warrant on Neu’s personal devices and identified a second victim, which led to the charge of improper relationship. Police did not release any further details about what led to the second charge.
Neu is being held in the Wylie Jail on two bonds totaling $1.5 million. It’s unclear if he’s obtained an attorney to speak on his behalf.
In a letter to parents, Wylie ISD Superintendent Kim Spicer said Neu is no longer employed by the district and they commended the graduate and their family for reporting their concerns to police.
Wylie Police said the Wylie ISD notified parents of Wylie East once police determined it was safe to do so, and that they encourage parents to speak with their children about appropriate communication and conduct with adults, and about the different avenues to report any interaction that makes them uncomfortable.
“Employees must never use their position, access, or influence to pursue personal relationships with students. The fact that a student has graduated does not absolve an educator of their responsibility to act professionally and uphold the trust placed in them by students, families, and the community. Any conduct that violates that trust is unacceptable,” the district said.
The district and the police both said that parents with concerns about interactions their children have had with Neu should contact the Wylie Police Department.
