Google wants to release mosquitoes across CA after success in Fresno County

Alphabet, Google's parent company, is seeking federal approval to release up to 32 million modified mosquitoes in California and Florida over the next two years, in an effort to reduce mosquito-borne diseases such as West Nile Virus and St. Louis encephalitis.
