California closed its polls at 8 p.m. Tuesday for the 2026 Primary Election, which will decide who advances in several key local and state races, including the race for Governor. Election results began trickling in within minutes thanks to California’s voting system, which delivers a mail ball ot to every registered voter and allows early voting for weeks until Election Day.
