A 59-year-old man riding a motorcycle died after colliding with a car making a U-turn in Northeast Philadelphia on Friday, May 29, police said. The crash occurred at around 5:50 p.m. at the intersection of Frankford Avenue and Benner Street, police said, after a gray Subaru Forrester traveling s outhbound on Frankford Avenue made a U-turn. A Suzuki motorcycle going northbound on Frankford Avenue collided with the Subaru, police said. The man was pronounced at the scene by paramedics. The driver of the Subaru stayed at the scene and was not injured in the crash, police said. No charges have been filed, but the crash is under investigation by the Philadelphia Police Department’s Crash Investigation Unit.
