Marcus’ 4 a.m. Thursday forecast INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — dense fog advisory is in effect until mid morning over central Indiana. This Morning: Watch for Fog Through 8–9 AM Light winds overnight combined with moisture left over from Wednesday’s rain have set the stage for fog develop ment this morning. The densest coverage will be near and south of the I-70 corridor — northern counties should largely stay clear as drier air limits saturation there. Patchy dense fog is possible, meaning visibilities can drop suddenly and with little warning. If you’re heading out early this morning, give yourself extra time and extra following distance. Fog should mix out by mid-morning as temperatures rise. Today Through the Weekend: Warm, Dry, and Sunny After weeks of nearly relentless rain and storm chances, the forecast couldn’t be more straightforward — and more welcome. No fronts, no storm systems, no meaningful rain chances. Today’s highs reach the upper 70s and lower 80s, with temperatures settling into the mid-to-upper 70s through the weekend and into early next week — consistently above normal and about as pleasant as Central Indiana gets in late May. Early Next Week: Still Mostly Dry A handful of outlier model runs continue to hint at the ridge shifting slightly, potentially allowing a cold front to clip the region early next week. Even if that scenario plays out, limited atmospheric moisture means precipitation would be unlikely. For now, enjoy the sunshine — it’s been a long time coming! ...read more read less
