Former Miami Dolphins defensive lineman and Oakland native Manny Fernandez has died at the age of 79, the team announced on social media. Fernandez was a key member of the Dolphins’ famed “No-Name Defense,” which led Miami to the only undefeated and untied season in NFL history. The Dolp hins finished 17-0 during the 1972 season and went on to win the Super Bowl. Fernandez was born in Oakland and attended San Lorenzo High School.
