Police are investigating after, officials said, an exchange of gunfire over a stolen vehicle saw, at least, 30 shots fired along Kelly Drive in Fairmount Park overnight. According to police, officers responded to the scene at the intersection of Kelly and Sedgley drives at about 2:30 a.m. on Tues day after receiving reports of gunfire in the area. Officials said the owner of a stolen vehicle tracked it to Kelly Drive, confronted at least two people and got into a shootout in which at least 30 shots were fired. However, police said investigators were still working to determine how the shooting unfolded, where the vehicle was stolen from and just how many people may have been involved in the incident. Officials also did not say if the owner of the stolen vehicle could face charges in this shooting. No one was injured in this incident, officials said. But, as of about 5:30 a.m., police could not confirm if the suspects in this incident escaped the scene in the stolen vehicle. An investigation into the incident, officials said, is ongoing.
