Amid a spike in renewals for Hawaii driver licenses and state IDs, Kokua Line is once again hearing from readers who say their new credential cannot be read by an electronic scanner, whether the flaw became apparent at an airport security checkpoint, while trying to load their license in Apple Walle t, or while returning an item to a store that scans IDs to process refunds.
