Four other vehicles were also involved in the crash, a Wheat Ridge police spokesperson said.Later Saturday, police confirmed an 18-year-old driver had been killed in the crash. Three other people injured in the crash suffered serious bodily injuries but their injuries were not considered to be life-threatening, a police department spokesperson added.The circumstances that led to the crash were not immediately available. While police investigated the crash, eastbound traffic on I-70 was being diverted to Ward Road. Drivers heading out for the Memorial Day weekend were advised to seek alternate routes.Wheat Ridge police announced the highway was back open by 2:52 p.m.
