HAMMOND mdash; Special Olympics organizers honored athlete Donnie Guillory during opening ceremonies for this year's games at Southeastern Louisiana University.Guillory was one of six people shot at the Mall of Louisiana last month.Agencies also took part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run to celebra te the hard work and dedication of those competing.More than 500 athletes and coaches took part in the competition and the event welcomed at least 300 guests from Special Olympics Mississippi.The games continue tomorrow morning at 8 a.m.Permalink| Comments ...read more read less
