A fire erupted on the second floor of an Irish pub in Center City on Monday night. NBC10 was on the scene to find a fire response that focused on the second and third floors of the pub located at 17th and Latimer streets. People were inside at the time the flames erupted, but no injuries ha ve been reported. The owner of the three-story pub, James Stephens, told NBC10 that the extent of the damage would be assessed over the next day or two, and that he hoped to reopen in time for the World Cup. “Listen, nobody was hurt, eveything can be rebuilt,” Stephens said. “We’ve been here 25 years and it’s not going to put us out of business, that’s for sure. “Let’s hope by some miracle we can open for the World Cup,” he added.
