MARTINSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — For the first time, Oakwood Stables in Martinsville is offering free horseback riding lessons for horse lovers of all ages! The program is designed specifically for beginners; no prior experience is required. Each session offers a hands-on introduction to the world of horses, including meeting and interacting with horses, learning basic horsemanship and safety, grooming and care, and enjoying a beginner riding lesson. Oakwood Stables says everything is included; horses, tack, and helmets are provided to each rider. Whether you want a new challenge, need some stress relief, or have a child who can’t stop talking about horses, these lessons are for anyone. “At Oakwood Stables, our goal is to make horses accessible to everyone and give families the opportunity to experience the joy, confidence, and connection that comes from riding.
