One person was hospitalized Friday night after a shooting at a McDonald’s in Allentown, according to the Allentown Police Department. At approximately 9:10 p.m. on May 15, officers responded to reports of shots fired at a McDonald’s located on Union Boulevard. Police said when police arri ved, they found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to a nearby hospital. According to officials, he is being treated for his injuries and is expected to survive. Authorities did not release the victim’s identity or age. According to officials, initial investigation found that the incident began as a disturbance, where several gunshots were fired. A firearm was recovered from the scene. It is unclear whether any arrests have been made, but police said there is “no threat to the community.” The investigation is ongoing.
