Wildlife rescuers in the Bay Area are out in full force to help wild baby animals. The Lindsay Wildlife Experience in Contra Costa County is currently bustling with baby animals. This is the time of year the center is extremely busy as baby birds fall out of nests. In addition, baby squirrels, po ssums and skunks are also orphaned during the season. The center said dozens of baby animals get dropped off daily at the facility, where the staff treats any injuries and keep the babies nourished and safe. “Our hope is we can treat them, rehabilitate them and return them to the wild,” said Jesse Menne, a Lindsay Wildlife vet technician. “That is ultimately our goal is to return everything to the wild. Wildlife experts are urging people to avoid trimming trees until the fall when nesting season is over.
