LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 49-year-old man arrived at the Louisa County Sheriff's Office with a gunshot wound on Tuesday, authorities said. On Tuesday, May 12, a female arrived at the lobby of the Louisa County Sheriff's Office with her 49-year-old husband, who had a gunshot wound. The man was alert, walking and spoke with deputies and emergency crews once they arrived. The wife informed deputies she had picked her husband up along Fredericks Hall Road and stated she did not know where he had been before she found him. While the man was being treated, deputies received a call about a suspicious vehicle located in the 1600 block of Mica Road. The caller said that the vehicle was running with the door open. Officials stated that once on scene, deputies found the vehicle and determined it was related to the man who had been shot and taken to the sheriff's office. This incident is under investigation.
