TOWN OF PINES, Ind. (WISH) — A boy died, and two 18-year-old juveniles were shot late Saturday night in Pine Township. On Monday, police told News 8 that officers were dispatched at approximately 11:01 p.m. to a home in the 1700 block of Liberty Avenue in the Town of Pines, which sits south of Lake Michigan, on reports of shots being fired. Police say one male juvenile, an 18-year-old woman, and an 18-year-old man were found shot. The male juvenile died from his injuries. Police did not confirm the condition of the two 18-year-olds and did not provide any details as to what led to the incident. No information was provided regarding a suspect. Police say this is an isolated incident and they don’t believe there is an ongoing threat to the public. The Porter County Sheriff’s Office says the incident is also being investigated as a battery.
