An investigation was underway overnight after, officials said, a pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash that happened in Trainer, in Delaware County. According to police, a person — who police did not immediately provide further identifying information on — was struck and kil led in a hit-and-crash that happened along the 4300 block of West 9th Street in Trainer, just before 3 a.m. on Monday. Officials did not immediately detail how the crash occurred, nor did they provide information on the vehicle and/or driver involved in the incident. But, at the scene, at about 4:30 a.m., NBC10’s cameras captured crews working overnight as they searched for clues after a vehicle fled the scene of this crash. Roadways in the area were blocked early Monday as police worked at the scene. And, investigators said, an investigation into this incident is ongoing. NBC10 is working to learn more.
