Residential development with 1,000 lots planned for Waller County

In 2025, several North Texas suburbs put themselves on the map thanks to staggering development. This year, it looks as if a suburban Houston county is suruging with yet another major project unfolding.
Windy Hill Development announced May 7 a new residential community planned for Waller, the comm
unity of around 3,000 people about 40 miles northwest of Houston. The development will have around 1,000 30- to 60-feet-wide lots. It's one of 11 Windy Hill projects currently in active development, according to a press release.
"We've been pursuing tracts in the Waller market for years and haven't had success," said Windy Hill CEO Randy Hall, who add his Developer of Land Chris Tysdal negotiated with multiple sellers for this particular space, which is just north of 290. "In keeping with our long term strategy, we chose this site due to its location and accessibility, which is the key factor in driving lot and home sales."
Waller is certainly accessible, just a hop, skip and jump off Highway 290 between Houston and Brenham. The town may be best known by Houstonians as the place where that Buc-ee's is on 290, a typical stop for folks heading out to the Austin area or maybe College Station.
