On Saturday at 5:43 p.m. a severe thunderstorm watch was released by the National Weather Service in effect until 11 p.m. for Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming counties.
