At least three separate shootings took place in Philadelphia overnight Friday into Saturday, police said. The first shooting was a domestic incident between a 46-year-old man and his 39-year-old girlfriend that occurred in a home on the 5000 block of North 12th Street, police said. During th e physical altercation, the woman shot at the man, hitting his thigh and grazing his stomach. Both were taken to the hospital after officers arrived, police said, with the woman being treated for bruising, swelling to the head and a hemorrhage to her left eye. The condition of both is unknown and it remains under investigation. No charges have yet been brought. The second shooting occurred just before midnight in the area of Carlisle and Poplar streets in North Philadelphia, police said. Officers arrived at the scene to find a 21-year-old man shot in the leg. A preliminary investigation has found that the man shot was standing in front of a store on Carlisle and Girard Avenue when a man approached the victim and pulled out a gun, police said. The suspect is believed to have had dreadlocks and was wearing all black, police said. The suspect fled in a Hyundai Elantra and is still being sought by police. The third shooting occurred at around 3 a.m. at 12th and Hilton streets. NBC10 was on the scene to find police investigating in a crime scene that included several spent shell casings. Police have described the incident as a “shootout,” but said that no victims have been found at this time and no arrests have been made.
