(KRON) -- San Jose police are investigating the city's ninth homicide of the year after a man was found last weekend with a gunshot wound in the driveway of an apartment complex. The unidentified man later died at a nearby hospital, according to the department. The San Jose Police Department said o fficers responded just before 1 a.m. on May 2 to the 1000 block of Summerside Drive to investigate a report of a possible person shot. The suspect, who has not yet been identified, fled the scene before police arrived. The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet clear.
