(KRON) -- Deputies in San Mateo County seized more than 100 grams of fentanyl early Tuesday morning after stopping a driver near the unincorporated community of Highlands, authorities said. The traffic stop occurred around 1 a.m. on Bunker Hill Drive near Skyline Boulevard. Deputies contacted the d river, David C. Dutton, 40, of San Francisco, and the passenger, Alexis Coombs, 55, of Stockton, and saw drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said. Dutton, authorities said, had two active arrest warrants for drug sales. A search of the vehicle uncovered more than 100 grams of packaged fentanyl, hundreds of suspected fentanyl pills, an imitation handgun and more than $5,000 in cash, according to the sheriff’s office. (San Mateo County Sheriff's Office) Dutton and Coombs were arrested and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility for possession of a controlled substance for sale, transportation of a controlled substance for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia. Two milligrams of fentanyl is considered to be a potentially fatal dose, according to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
