Heidi Klum brought her love of Halloween costumes to the 2026 Met Gala. Klum, who throws one of Hollywood’s most famous Halloween parties every year, got into the spooky spirit to honor the event’s “Fashion is Art” dress code this year. The 52-year-old supermodel and “Project Run way” host arrived at the gala dressed as a marble statue in a custom look created by her longtime Halloween collaborator, Oscar-nominated make-up artist Mike Marino, Klum revealed on Instagram. Marino “transformed fabric into sculpture, manipulating latex and spandex with extraordinary precision to mirror the stillness, delicacy, and illusion of carved marble,” Klum explained. Klum appeared to be carved out of marble and then draped with a gauzy white sheet. She wore ancient-looking sandals on her feet, a simple wreath on her head and creepy looking contact lenses. Klum’s Met Gala look isn’t too far a cry from her 2025 Halloween costume. The model transformed into Medusa, the terrifying figure from Greek mythology who has snakes instead of hair. So frightening looking was Medusa that anyone who dared look at her turned to stone. Scales covered her face and body and she wore bright green contact lenses. Klum’s husband Tom Kaulitz walked the red carpet with her dressed as one of Medusa’s victims: a stone figure. It’s like a life performance art thing in a way because you see so much AI and things are being photographed, repatched, this, that and the other.” “I always try to come up with something that is giving people an ‘ooh’ and ‘ahh’ and a wow because I want to inspire people to also do something creative,” she shares.
