RICHMOND, Va. (STACKER) -- House prices are still on the rise across the nation. Here are the fourteen Central Virginia places with the fastest-rising costs. The real estate frenzy spurred by the coronavirus pandemic continues -- though at a slower pace. Buyers are still competing for a limited sup ply of housing, driving up prices for affordable properties. The typical home value in the United States was $365,545 in March, 0.8% higher than it was in 2025. Using Zillow data, Stacker created a list of the top-50 Virginia places with the fastest-growing home prices. 8News took that list and narrowed it down to the 14 places in Central Virginia. #14.
