A woman died and several others were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle and major injury crash in San Jose on Saturday afternoon, according to authorities. San Jose Police said the crash happened in the area of Blossom Hill Road and Santa Teresa Boulevard just before 4 p.m. Several people were taken to local hospital with varying injuries. Police said one of them, a woman, was pronounced dead at the hospital. NBC Bay Area spoke to Luis Silva, a witness who jumped into action to help pull a man from a burning car. “As soon I got here, the car was on fire, and it was myself and then another officer and another gentleman pulling him out of the car, he was a bloody mess, and then once he was sort of like more coherent, we were able to get him out in the street,” Silva said.
