Santa Rosa man arrested after allegedly firing unregistered handgun out of car

(KRON)-- A 22-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly fired a handgun from a car near Bay Village Circle in Santa Rosa.
Around 10:51 p.m. on May 1, the Santa Rosa Police Department received multiple 911 calls complaining of shots being fired near Bay Village Circle.

The man was identified as 22-year-old Marcos Garcia.
SF police arrest two minors who allegedly brandished firearm
Officers searched and arrested Garcia, finding a 9mm semi-automatic handgun hidden in the pocket of his pants. The gun was not registered to Garcia and had no record of sale in California.
After further investigation, officers found seven spent casings from the apartment complex parking lot. There was no damage to property in the area or to the victims from the shooting.

Possession of a loaded firearm in public
Possession of a concealed firearm in public
Negligent discharge of a firearm
