A 9-year-old boy is dead after being hit by a school bus in Williamsburg on Friday morning, authorities say. It happened around 8 a.m., near Lee Avenue and Lorimer Street. Officials say the bus driver initially left the scene but returned shortly thereafter. It’s not clear if the drive r was aware of hitting the child.
