u0022u0022 (INDIANAPOLIS) — May is going to start off on a chilly note with a chance of morning frost both Saturday and Sunday. THURSDAY EVENING/NIGHT: A disturbance will produce areas of rain tonight and early Friday morning. Some thunder is possible but there won’t be any severe weat her. Lows will be in the 40s. FRIDAY: The best chance of showers will be early on in the day but some could pop back up during the afternoon. Highs will be in the 50s. The average high for the first day of May is 69 in Indianapolis. WEEKEND FROST THREAT: Both Saturday and Sunday AM will feature a chance for some frost here in Central Indiana. Daytime highs Saturday will be in the 50s with the 60s returning on Sunday. If you are running in the Indy Mini Marathon of 5k it will be cool! 7 DAY FORECAST: Temperatures will rebound back into the 70s on Monday but the chance of rain storms will increase.
