RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News got a visit from two special guests with the Asian American Society of Central Virginia (AASoCV) on Tuesday to talk about the upcoming 28th Asian American Celebration. 8News anchors Autumn Childress and Delaney Hall were joined by event chair Jaye Li and Vietnamese Boa rd of Trustees member Julie Nguyen to talk about what people can expect. "It's a great event for us to promote our culture, the Asian American community's culture, and also to show our cultural pride through different activities," Li said. People can head to the Greater Richmond Convention Center on Saturday, May 2 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for cultural booths, performances, a food market and more.
