KNOX CO., Ind. (WISH) — Two people were arrested in Knox County Friday night following a vehicle search where police found suspected methamphetamine and marijuana. State police shared a release Sunday evening stating that at approximately 11:34 p.m., Trooper Hurley was patrolling US 41 near Vincennes when he stopped a black 2014 Ford Explorer for speeding. While speaking to the driver, 39-year-old Megan Burns, and the passenger, 56-year-old Victor Sobolewski, Hurley “recognized indicators of criminal activity and requested the assistance of a K-9.” After an open-air sniff, K9 Goran indicated that there were drugs in the car. A search was then conducted of the vehicle where officers found three small bags containing approximately 8 grams of suspected meth, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Burns and Sobolewski were arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.
