2 arrested in Knox County after police find meth and marijuana in vehicle

KNOX CO., Ind. (WISH) — Two people were arrested in Knox County Friday night following a vehicle search where police found suspected methamphetamine and marijuana.
State police shared a release Sunday evening stating that at approximately 11:34 p.m., Trooper Hurley was patrolling US 41 near
Vincennes when he stopped a black 2014 Ford Explorer for speeding.
While speaking to the driver, 39-year-old Megan Burns, and the passenger, 56-year-old Victor Sobolewski, Hurley “recognized indicators of criminal activity and requested the assistance of a K-9.”
After an open-air sniff, K9 Goran indicated that there were drugs in the car. A search was then conducted of the vehicle where officers found three small bags containing approximately 8 grams of suspected meth, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Burns and Sobolewski were arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail without incident. Burns has been preliminary charged with dealing and possessing meth, and possessing paraphernalia and marijuana.
Sobolewski has been preliminary charged with dealing and possessing meth.
