RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A 14-year-old girl is dead after a domestic shooting in Richmond killed an 18-year-old student and left two people critically injured on Tuesday.
Authorities with the Richmond Police Department said on Saturday that the female teen had died after suffering life-threatening
injuries. She was the sister of Richmond student Zion Terry, who was shot and killed in the shooting.
At around 9:50 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, police responded to the 3100 block of 5th Avenue for a report of a person shot. When they arrived, they found Terry dead at the scene and two other people, his 14-year-old sister and 38-year-old mother, with serious injuries.

As of Tuesday evening, police said the mother, Tiffany Terry, has stabilized. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening on Saturday.
Forty-one-year-old Levy Nelson of Henrico County, who's the girl's father, was arrested after an hours-long manhunt and charged with malicious wounding and felony use of a firearm. Police said additional charges against him are possible.
The John Marshall High School senior was on track to graduate with a 4.4 GPA. He also competed in track, ran for prom king and planned to study nursing at Winston-Salem State University in North Carolina.
