Indiana Grown: Generations Pie Company – 7:45 a.m.
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Each and every Saturday, WISH-TV highlights a local company together with our partners at Indiana Grown.
This week, Maria and Michael Johnson with Generations Pie Company joined the show!
Generations Pie Company,
based in Fortville, is celebrating 10 years in business! But the pie-making has been a generational craft decades in the making.
“(The company) is about bringing our pies from the generations before us,” Maria said. “And to honor them, we brought these recipes back to life so others can enjoy them along with us.”
The Johnsons say their pies, pastries, and sweet breads are baked from scratch using fresh ingredients. Some of their staple pies include Grannie Suk’s Sweet Potato Pie and Grandma Hattie Leota’s Sweet Apple Pie.
Generations Pie’s commercial kitchen is based in Fortville, attached to the Generations Pie Café, 230 S. Main St. Their sweets are available for purchase on their website.
