RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond's favorite heavy metal band is set to throw out the first pitch for the Flying Squirrels at a summer game against the Erie SeaWolves. Organizers announced on Friday that Richmond-hailed Lamb of God will take to the newly opened CarMax Park on June 6 to sing the nat ional anthem and toss out the ceremonial first pitch. The band will also host a meet-and-greet for fans and music lovers. The event marks CarMax Park's first-ever Heavy Metal Night.
