The Fort Pierre Chamber of Commerce hosted a candidate forum April 23, 2026, at the Community Youth Involved Center in Fort Pierre. DRG Media Group News and Farm Director Jody Heemstra and Riverfront Broadcasting News Director Zach Nelson moderated the forum.
The first candidate forum was for mayor
of Fort Pierre. Candidates are incumbent mayor Gloria Hanson and current Fort Pierre city council member Greg Kenzy.
