COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Some educators will do almost anything for their students. Friday morning, Annie Burnside Elementary Principal Dr. Janet Campbell made good on a promise and kissed a pig. Dr. Campbell told her students that if they were the top elementary school in the superintendent’s reading challenge she would smooch a swine and the kids came through. Dr. Campbell says it is all worth it. This isn’t the first challenge Dr. campbell has followed through on. In recent years she’s also ridden a camel and spent a day on the school’s roof.
