Worker rescued from tree in San Jose, taken to hospital in serious condition

A worker who suffered a medical emergency Friday while cutting a palm tree in San Jose was rescued by first responders and taken to the hospital in serious condition, according to the fire department.
The fire department said the worker was on a palm tree about 75 feet in the air along the 2900 b
lock of Sunburst Drive when they experienced an unspecified medical emergency.
A Cal Fire helicopter crew responded to the scene, removed the worker from the tree and safely lowered them to the ground. The worker was placed in an ambulance and rushed to the hospital.
The public was instructed to avoid the area.
