(Courtesy of Charlie Brogan for KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Apr. 23)–Severe thunderstorms packed with hail ranging from quarter-sized to golf ball-sized pelted areas of eastern Nebraska on Thursday afternoon, as a co ld front moved through. The National Weather Service posted severe thunderstorm warnings for Lincoln and Lancaster County during the 2pm and 3pm hours, with all of them being cancelled as of 3:45pm Thursday.  A tornado watch was posted around 12pm Thursday and set to expire at 7pm Thursday.  A tornado warning was posted for areas of Jefferson, Gage and Saline counties that expired at 3:15pm Thursday, with no confirmed touchdowns reported. A storm that developed near Pleasant Dale in eastern Seward County dropped golf ball-sized hail near SW 126th and West Van Dorn in western Lancaster County around 2:45pm, while quarter-sized hail was reported near the Lincoln Airport and small hail was reported in areas of northeast Lincoln.  In Waverly, quarter-sized hail was reported around 3:15pm.
