COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Wednesday, April 22, the state Senate voted to suspend the state’s liability insurance requirements for bars and restaurants. The proposal would pause enforcement of the law requiring businesses that serve alcohol to carry liability coverage, including policies up to on e million dollars. The insurance requirement was part of a broader liquor liability law passed last year. The house will need to vote on the proposal before it becomes law.
