Andrew Jones, 40, of Indianapolis, was taken into custody Wednesday morning. Police believe he helped Ronald Brown Jr. kill James "Matt" Lushin to eliminate a substantial drug debt, according to a probable cause affidavit.Lushin, 47, was found dead March 12 in his Westfield home. Police discovered his body during a welfare check after a friend saw him through the back door.Brown, 50, was arrested March 30. According to a probable cause affidavit, police believe Brown killed Lushin to eliminate a substantial drug debt.In a press release sent on Wednesday, Westfield Police said evidence linked them to Jones during the ongoing investigation into the death of Lushin.Evidence against Jones stated in probable cause affidavit: Jones' fingerprint was found on the back of the license plate from the rental car Brown used. The plate had been covered with cardboard to conceal its identity. Cell phone data shows Jones was at Brown's Indianapolis home the morning of the murder. His girlfriend's silver Dodge Durango was captured on airport surveillance picking up Brown after he returned the rental car. Police found encrypted messages between the two men discussing showering and creating an inventory list of marijuana strains. The inventory matched marijuana found in Lushin's safe.Westfield Police served an arrest and search warrant in the 1900 block of Breman Lane in Indianapolis around 6:45 a.m.Jones was taken into custody on preliminary charges of: Murder Conspiracy to Commit Murder Armed Robbery Theft Dealing in Marijuana; Possession with IntentThe Hamilton Superior Court 5 issued an arrest warrant for Jones on Friday.
