Hynes went on to say they aren’t satisfied with winning one game. In recent years, the Dallas Stars have had trouble out of the gate in the playoffs — Dallas has lost Game 1 for the ninth time in 11 playoff seasons. In recent history, though, they recover. Last year, the Stars lost Game 1 to the Avs and went on to win the series in seven. In 2024, they lost Game 1 to the Golden Knights before winning the series in seven games. In 2023, they lost Game 1 to the Wild and advanced in six. Each of those years, the Stars advanced to the Conference Finals. If Dallas can secure a win on Monday, the series will be tied 1-1.
