A deceased person was found near a SoMa freeway onramp Sunday night, not long after Caltrans construction crews completed their work on a section of eastbound I-80, which had caused some weekend congestion in the area.California Highway Patrol reportedly found a dead body near the freeway on-ramp at
Harrison and Seventh streets in San Francisco around 11:35 pm Sunday. As the Chronicle reports, via the CHP, foul play does not appear to have been involved, and a CHP spokesperson said it appeared "to be a death possibly related to a drug overdose."No further information about the victim has been released.The on-ramp near Seventh Street to southbound 101 had not been closed during the two-day closure during which Caltrans was making repairs to the eastbound freeway deck between 4th and 17th streets.
