INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Morgan Kohan, who stars as Maggie Sullivan in Sullivan’s Crossing, said the show’s fourth season will take viewers on a complicated journey.
Season four premieres Monday on The CW.
The series, adapted from novels by Robyn Carr, has
grown in popularity since its 2023 debut. The new season picks up immediately after season three, with Maggie and Cal solidifying their relationship before the return of Maggie’s ex-husband, Liam, threatens to disrupt their future.
Kohan said the storyline continues directly from last season, with Maggie and Cal defining their future together before Liam’s reappearance creates conflict.
Kohan also reflected on the show’s rise, describing it as rapid growth that exceeded early expectations and expanded significantly over the past year.
Season three ranked among the top five CW original linear series across key demographics and was the No. 1 program on CW digital platforms in 2025. It also debuted at No. 3 on Netflix’s Global English TV Top 10 list, where it remained for three weeks.
Discussing her character’s development, Kohan said she continues to learn about Maggie as the series progresses, with that evolving understanding shaping her performance.
Kohan also welcomed Marcus Rosner to the cast as Liam, noting his addition brings a strong presence to the storyline.
She emphasized the importance of character development in the show’s success, saying audiences connect through their own interpretations and perspectives.
Season four will also introduce flashbacks that explore Maggie’s past, offering insight into her earlier life and how it shapes her present.
Roma Roth serves as showrunner and executive producer. The series is distributed internationally by Fremantle.
Kohan, a native of British Columbia, previously starred in When Hope Calls and has appeared in series including “Star Trek: Discovery,” “The Bold Type,” “Kim’s Convenience,” “Ransom,” “Batwoman,” and “Transplant.”
Episodes of season four will be available to stream the next day on The CW app.
