(CNN)– The sports betting platform FanDuel  is leaning in to the ‘prediction market’ business. The market lets people trade on real-world events, like the economy or the weather. The company says it is making the move because online sports betting is still illegal in many states. These ‘ real world’ markets are seen as trading products rather than gambling.
