Each September, Washingtonian publishes a list of the area’s Tech Titans: the 250 or so people who are doing truly innovative, important work locally in the industry. These include entrepreneurs, VCs and other investors, policy and think tank experts, heads of nonprofits and trade associations, and government officials—not just the tech innovators, but those helping make innovation possible. The list is primarily put together by reporters who talk to those-in-the-know about the local tech scene, sussing out who are the real pioneers and leaders. But we do accept nominations. Here are a few things to know: The person must be someone who lives and works all or most of the time in the Washington, DC, area. This includes not just DC proper, but also Northern Virginia and suburban Maryland. To nominate someone, please send an email to [email protected], with the nominee’s name, and title/position. Tell us why, in less than 200 words, you feel this person deserves to be a Tech Titan, with specifics on the work this person does and its importance.
