RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The first-ever Richmond Ren Faire is officially underway. The two-day event welcomed visitors to Dorey Park on Saturday and Sunday, featuring craftsmanship, storytelling, history and community. The inaugural celebration also highlighted Richmond's love for art and literatu re, said Bookmark Mobile Bookstore owner Jaclyn Wilkins. "Richmond seems to love fantasy, roman-tasy, history and theatre books. So I wanted to make sure when I came out to Ren Faire today that I carried a lot of those books for people who love them the most," Wilkins said.
