At around 6:35 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, crews with Prince Geor

Dry conditions and highly combustible vegetation are making the area especially vulnerable to rapid fire spread, according to officials.
"We are once again urging residents to use extra caution and avoid any activity that could create sparks or ignite dry brush," fire officials said.
This marks one of many brush fires in the area amid the annual Virginia burning law. An "out of hand" burn spread to about half on acre on West Quaker Road on Sunday, April 12. Three days later, a downed power line sparked a brush fire in the area of Fort Powhatan Road on Wednesday, April 15.
