In the video, Alexandria says, "Amy, I had a dream the other night that you were alive and that you're okay. I know it was just a dream, but it gave me hope. I believe that you are out there somewhere and I pray that wherever you are, you are safe. All of us who love you are desperate for information."
Amy Hillyard, 52, who is considered at risk due to a medical condition, was initially reported as being last seen sometime after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25 in the 500 block of Radnor in Oakland and there were reports that she was spotted shortly after. Loved ones are also asking those who live in the neighborhoods of Cleveland Heights, Lake Merrit, the Lakeshore District and Crocker Highlands to look at any home surveillance video from around the 2 p.m. timeframe.
Past volunteer searches have also centered on Dimond Park, where combed video footage from investigators also placed Hillyard around 4:30 p.m. in that area on the same day she vanished.
Hillyard's family is offering a $10,000 reward for information to leads to her safe location and their reunion. Anyone with information that can aid investigators is urged to call the Oakland Police Department's missing persons division at (510) 238-3641.
Hillyard's coffee shop, Farley's, has two Bay Area locations, and she also serves as president of the board of directors for the Piedmont East Bay Children’s Choir.

Hillyard is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 120 pounds, with blonde hair and hazel eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was reportedly wearing a white short-sleeve shirt, light-colored jeans and white sneakers with black stripes. There were initially conflicting reports that was last seen wearing a tan-colored top and tan pants.
Alexandria continues to say in the video, "You have always been by my side. My cool big sister, my maid of honor, and beloved auntie to my two young children. You have touched every part of my life, and you have made it better with your wisdom and grace. You are adored by so many people. Life is so confusing and painful without you, and the unknowing is becoming unbearable. If you are with my sister or have seen my sister, please let us know she's okay. I love you, Amy, and I hope I get to see you soon."
A few weeks ago, OPD detectives noted that they were hoping to see if Hillyard was spotted at any Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) stations in Oakland. BringAmyHome.com was created to help people stay on track with any updates in the case.
A previous statement released by Amy’s husband, Chris, said “As more time goes by without Amy, the agony of her absence is devastating. We are still holding on to hope, thanks to Amy’s community of friends and volunteers who continue to search every day. They are a source of strength to our family and me.”
