INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Scattered rain storms are possible tonight into Thursday with another batch along a cold front Saturday. At times there could be some strong to severe activity. Unseasonably warm air remains in place through Saturday with cooler drier a
ir coming back starting Sunday. Frost could occur Monday morning.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT:
The chance of rain thunder will continue overnight but the severe threat has diminished greatly. Another mild night is on tap with lows in the 60s.
THURSDAY:
The chance of rain storms continues, especially during the first part of the day. While a pop-up storm could occur during the afternoon the odds appear lower overall. Highs should be in the mid to upper 70s with breezy SW winds 10-25 mph.
THURSDAY NIGHT:
Cooler and quiet conditions are in order. Look for lows in the low to mid 50s.
FRIDAY:
A warm and dry day is expected. Highs top out in the low to mid 80s.
7 DAY FORECAST:
A strong cold front will bring the chance of rain storms back to Central Indiana Friday night into Saturday. Some strong to severe storms could occur Saturday but the timing of the front brings uncertainty to the equation.
If the front moves through faster the odds of severe weather will decrease… but the chance goes up if it slows down. We still expect mild 70s on Saturday with breezy conditions. Much cooler air blows in on Sunday with highs only in the 50s. Temperatures dip into the 30s Sunday night/Monday morning and that may lead to areas of frost. Temperature moderate by the middle of next week.
