Center opens new location to support cancer patients

More than 100 cancer patients and their families joined Cancer Support Center North Texas as the nonprofit opened the doors on a new Dallas clubhouse location. The celebration had a homecoming theme, including the crowning of a king and queen.
Through the clubhouse and virtual programs, thousand
s of people across Collin, Dallas and Tarrant counties have access to free support groups, social activities and events, educational/exercise and nutritional classes, and an arts and crafts center for kids of parents going through cancer.
CSCNT says the need for mental health support is greater than ever, with 30-40,000 new cancer diagnoses across Texas every year.
“We are the missing link in cancer care, and we’re grateful that our new location can serve our participants better than ever before. Our welcoming red doors are always open to anyone facing cancer,” said CEO Mirchelle Louis in a news release sent to NBC 5.
The Dallas Clubhouse is within Hidden Grove at 75/Forest at 12404 Park Central Drive in Dallas.
