HoosierShare BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) — Ride together, save together! Indiana University in Bloomington announced the launch of ‘HoosierShare’ by Uber on Tuesday. In a LinkedIn post, IU announced they are proud to launch a shared ride option designed specifically for IU students, facul ty, and staff. The university says community members can share an Uber ride with one or two fellow Hoosiers traveling in the same direction, saving money and reducing emissions across Bloomington. How does it work? If you already have an Uber account, sign up for HoosierShare through the secure enrollment form. If you are downloading Uber for the first time, create an Uber account, then enter your IU credentials on the secure enrollment form. Once you have been approved and your IU affiliation is verified, HoosierShare will pop up as an option in the Uber app. When requesting a ride, be sure to select HoosierShare as your ride option.
